The National Urban League is one of the nation's oldest and largest community-based organizations. The NUL works to empower communities through youth and adult education, and to provide neighborhoods with the tools they need to ensure social and economic progress. Its mission: to empower African-Americans to enter the economic and social mainstream.

The Comcast Commitment Comcast is proud to partner with the National Urban League to help achieve its goal of enabling African-Americans to secure economic self-reliance, parity and power, and civil rights.

• On the local level, Comcast managers and senior executives are working with individual League affiliates by providing financial support and serving on boards.
• The National Urban League and Comcast are creating training programs for Comcast employment opportunities, designed to help adults attain economic self-sufficiency through good jobs and entrepreneurship.
• Together, we are developing programming concepts for Comcast cable systems around the country.
• Comcast has committed $100,000 to help National Urban League events such as the annual Equal Opportunity Day, the National Urban League conference, and the NULITES Youth Leadership Summit.
